Who handles your data
The transportation company you book with controls your ride data. El Amigo processes it on that company's behalf to provide the booking, dispatch and payment records.
What is collected
- Riders: phone number, messages you send, pickup and destination, ride history, payment records, ratings.
- Drivers: account details, documents the company requires, vehicle details, location while online or on a trip, earnings records.
- Staff: account details, sign-in records and the actions they take (audit log).
How long it is kept
Driver location trails are deleted after the period the company sets (30 days by default). Message text is removed after a set period (180 days by default). Trip, payment and audit records are kept as long as the law and the company's accounting require.
Texts
Ride texts are sent because you contacted the company. Marketing texts are sent only if you separately agree. Reply STOP to stop all texts from a company number.
Your choices
App users can export their data from settings. To ask for deletion, contact the company you rode with; some records must be kept by law.
